My dear robson
A letter from Fred Verrall, received a few days ago, gave me news of
you all, and I was glad to hear you are again a happy father. I hope
your wife and your new daughter are doing well, and please give your
wife my best regards and wishes for a speedy recovery.
Here I am still in Paris, and I am likely to remain, until the end of
November, much to my disgust. I am really anxious to get back to work
again, but here I must stay until about Nov.25th What are you working
on, and have you done much work since I last saw you? And Duveneck,
what is he doing?
I have done no work except a few water-colours while over in the country
in Normandy. The weather though was too bad to do much work out of doors
- I don't suppose the night class has opened yet at the Apolo. I am
sorry I shan't be there for the first night. I suppose you will have
a jolly time. Have you ever seen anything of the frail Catrina? Give
my kind regards to Duveneck when you see him and 'Conte Salute' to San
Da Costa etc
Yours ever, Charles Forbes
