Letter to William Robson from Francis Maughan.
Hotel Friedland, Avenue Friedland, Paris.
My dear Friend, I am in hopes that this may find you well and happy.
I am about to surprise you, agreeably I hope when I tell you that in
less than a fortnight I maybe in Italy. I intend passing some days accompanied
by my brother, visiting one or two towns and then finally coming over
to Capri where I hope to find you. I have been very unsettled of late
and have decided on travelling in hopes that it may cure me of my melanchol.
I do not write more not knowing whether this may find you or not. If
however I am fortunate, send me word so that I can hold further communication
with you. Accept my kindest regards until we meet.
Believe me, Yr sincere friend, Francis.
